November 23-25 at Yachroma town near Moscow a regular Russian Volvo Penta dealers seminar was held.
Traditionally, results of work of dealers was discussed. Our company retains its leadership on spare parts realization (47% of total turnover in Russia). Volvo Penta representative in Russia have awarded companies: Unisail-T - for big amount of spare parts sale, Kater Service - for the most increase of spare parts sale this year (both companies are the Moscow ones). Company Admiral from Volgograd was awarded for the best promotion of Volvo Penta trademark, our company - for the best web-site describing Volvo Penta products.
This year first time a competition between Russian dealers was organized, that take into consideration not only engine and spare parts turnover, but also conformity to Volvo Penta standards, advertising, business investment, sponsorship of dealers. KVARTET win this competition with great vantage, getting twice more score points than second company.
At a seminar the latter-day propulsion units, that have not analogs in the world now, were introduced. These units will be the first time exhibited at a Dusseldorf Boat-show next year. Changes in Volvo Penta engine range was also discussed, as well as new products of "Quality Line" trademark.
In 2004 Russian Volvo Penta dealers pool was enlarged by new member - Flagman Ltd from Rostov-na-Donu. Three companies will work next year as a partners having an aim to become dealers since 2006.

1 August 2004 the most prestige Russian offshore regatta "Onego Cup 2004" - Championship of Russia in offshore classes - was over. For more than 30 years this regatta, that runs on a one of the biggest lakes of Europe, collects the most strong crews from all country and abroad. This year 48 yachts from 10 regions of Russia and three yacht from Finland entered this event.
"Kvartet" (capt. Vasily Alexeev) have masterfully win competition in the most popular (18 participants) and prestige class - "IOR 5.65", simultaneously became winner in a Quarter Ton level class.
"Kvartet" becomes champion 3-d time, kicking back this title from yachts "Leopold" (G. Lavrentiev, Moscow), and "Fiji" (A. Nikandrov, St-Peterburg).

17 July 2004 18-m cruising sailing yacht of "Vostok" design was launched and delivered to customer. Yacht was blessed and named "Nordlight". Yacht successfully passed factory and sea trials. Now crew have to test the yacht in different weather condition and tune her rig and sails.
Delivery and accepting crew comments that yacht is fine balanced and perfectly steered. At a wave of 20 Beaufort yacht makes 8.5 knots under "running-in" regime of engine, that is totally agreed with calculations.
KVARTET wishes to the owner and crew of the yacht good wind and good sailing!

By the end of May model department of our company have delivered to client a model of German passenger vessel "Elbe" made in scale 1:100. Model of historical ship is a rare case in our practice.
...Name of "Elbe" is associated with one of the biggest accidents in international shipping. 29 January 1895 at 05.17 "Elbe", carrying 195 passengers and 181 crew members, was rammed by English freighter "Crathie"...

29 May 2004 on a Rowing Channel of St-Petersburg a city rowing regatta "Pull Oars!" on marine six-oars yawls was held. 21-st year regatta is organized by St-Petersburg Marine Technical University, and the 3-d time it has a rank of all-city competition.
This year 52 teams from St-Petersburg, Kronshtatd, Narva, Severodvinsk, Great Novgorod entered this competition. Since 1995 KVARTET participates in organizing of the event and sponsors youth teams

North-West Inspection of Russian River Register have approve production drawings and delivery documentation of motor yacht (service boat) of project N 82470. Now all design documentation is approved, and the second block of a hull is under construction.

9-12 April 2004
Championship of Russia on stand modeling was held from 9 till 12 April in St.Petersburg. About 40 model masters from different parts of Russia took part in this exhibition. More than 80 models in different classes were shown. KVARTET represented models of oil skimmer "Omsk" and sailing yacht "Vostok" from our office exposition.
Model of "Omsk" get a 3-d prize in a C-2 class, and model of "Vostok" get a 4-th place in C-1 class (models of sail ship), after three models of "tall ships" with full rigging.
Though KVARTET the first time took part in such event, we consider our debut successful.

The English version of a site is opened. This version is the reduced variant of Russian part of a site.
A lot of time has been spent for preparation of these materials and efforts, but now our foreign partners, colleagues and potential customers can learn more about activity of the KVARTET.
