Project 81490Floating plant for cleaning of oil polluted water
| |

Project of reconstruction of former floating plant for cleaning of cargo ships to plant for cleaning of oil polluted water was developed in year 2005-2007 for Leasing Ship ltd..
Floating plant is intended for:
- collecting of oil polluted water from ships at port and subsequent cleaning it to degree that allows to deliver it to common sewage collection system;
- accumulation of separated oil, that could be used as a fuel for own boiler or to be delivered to oil collecting ship.
The former floating plant for cleaning of cargo ships (design N81490) was intended for cleaning and washing of cargo holds from rest of bulk cargo (sand, gravel, coal, ore etc). Vessel has a double bottom and boards for preventing of environmental pollution in a case of outer skin damage.

Task of environmental protection becomes especially important in waiting for significant increasing of ships calling a port. Method of cleaning allows to minimize cost due to use of residual oil as a fuel for harbor vessels.
Ship’s hull is of pontoon type with three superstructures. Engine room is located aft, boilers – in a middle superstructure, oil cleaning plant- in a forward part of a vessel. Crew accommodations are located in the aft superstructure.
After reconstruction vessel received class of Russian River Register: P1.2 (oil cleaning, ignition point more than 60 deg. C).
Floating plant was named "Ekomarine-3" and should be delivered to customer at summer 2007.
