Project 17500Oil skimmer & technical support vessel

Oil- and debris skimming workboat "Lamor" (project ¹ 17500) was launched in year 2000 at shipyard "Uudenkaupungin tyovene Îy", Uudenkaupunki, Finland together with Lamor Corp., for company "Chernomortansneft". All works from the beginning of design to the delivery of the boat have take only 12 month.
Vessel is intended for:
- transport and setting of floating boom barrage;
- receiving of bilge oily waters and rubbish from ships, transport and delivery to collection stations;
- collection of floating debris and oil spills with ignition point 60oC;
- transport of cargo, including vehicles, with weight up to 5 tons.
Ship is designed for exploration at open sea conditions up to 50 Beaufort, and up to 100 miles from safe haven.

Decked steel vessel is powered by two diesel engines coupled with water-jets. Hull is divided into five watertight compartments. In a forward part of a boat there is a two-place crew cabin and a galley. Ina superstructure there is a wheelhouse, sanitary block and a fire-extinguishing station.
Vessel is equipped with outboard oil collection device of brush type, made by Lamor Corp., Finland. At sea condition device is stored in the hold. There is a reel with 100 m of floating booms on a vessel, and a hydraulic crane. At the aft part of a vessel there is a ramp, which is used for loading of vehicles and for setting of boom barrages.

Accommodation
